Figmas and figurines are popular for main characters in more well-known anime/game fandoms, and a wonderful way to show appreciation for a character. Given that there was a snowball's chance in hell for Zihark to have an official figma, krad decided to kill two birds with one stone and commission one. Supporting indie artisans and having a tangible reminder of Zihark on the shelf - what's not to love?

This was sculpted by Sean; before even starting the process, krad had a fairly clear idea of what it should look like, and created a reference sheet with some potential pose ideas with enough detail about the character and style (and complexity of both) so the sculpter could see where it was going. Lots of emphasis on movement and on a vaguely-westernized-anime style.

After Sean created some rough draft pose options, we went with the current one - and the process was amazingly quick with him sculpting and then painting the final form.

Overall, I was very happy with the idea, process, and the finished form, and to this day this figurine's still right on my desk.
