About the Site

This fanshrine was created in 2021 as a spiritual successor to the Zihark Fan Club founded on May 7, 2007 on deviantART (since defunct).

(RIP ... lots of fond memories.)

A fanshrine is a type of hand-made site most commonly found in the old web 1.0 that focuses on a character or type of media and hosts oodles of personalized information, images, trivia, and anything related to the topic. This fanshrine is a sub-domain of kradeelav.com, what I lovingly refer to as my floating virtual home for my artworks.

Who is this fanshrine dedicated to? Zihark is a swordmaster from the Fire Emblem game series, created by Nintendo. For more information about the character, please visit the profile page.

About the Sitemaster

I go by the name of krad;. I'm an artist and comic creator most known for drawing skanky villains and being an unrepentant fangirl of this particular character for god knows how long.

Why make a fanshrine?

I love and miss the old web - grew up on it, and think it has far more personality, charm, and nuance than social media sites that I've mostly sworn off. This shrine was partly created to return to that era (as an aesthetic relic, maybe, but I choose to be more optimistic than that).

The other part ... not to be corny, but aside from just appreciating Zihark as a character and his role in the story in his own right, he's always been a bit of a Muse to me, capital-m and all. Stumbled upon Path of Radiance in the Gamecube era when a family member gave the game to me for a birthday, and probably around playthrough 5 of 70+ (and counting), I developed a fondness for Zihark that went beyond merely 'a favorite character of all time'.

Over the decades, I've learned not to question how important consistent Muses can be when practically everything else in a person's life can change beyond recognition. It's the little things that keep you going - whether it be personal rituals, talismans or, heh, shrines as these sites happen to be called.

This one's to you, ツイハーク ♥
